Dan Horning began playing guitar in high school and in 1981, in the band "Aurora" with his brother. They toured Canada and the U.S. for 5 years.
In December of 1985 Dan formed the N. Y. Rockin' Rodeo Band. The New York Rockin' Rodeo Band hit the road and pretty much stayed there for the next 10 years preforming mainly in Western Canada and later doing 11 overseas tours in 31 countries (many of them multiple times) for the Department of Defense.

Through the years, Dan learned to play Banjo, Pedal Steel Guitar and Fiddle along with his main instrument the Guitar. Today, Dan's married to Becky and has two kids, Kennedy and Matthew. Besides the band, Dan teaches private music lessons and also enjoys traveling for banks doing mystery shopping.
